[Barrelfish-users] gdb and qemu

I have QEMU PC emulator version 0.11.1 and GNU gdb (Gentoo 7.2 p1) 7.2
I think you are right and these two do not work together. I solved my problem though by using gdbserver. Even better it comes as a plugin to Netbeans, so I can have proper IDE support.

cheers,
Georgios

From the output below, it's hard to tell what's going on now. My bet is
that your GDB version is incompatible with your version of QEMU. We've
had this problem a few times in the past.

Which version of QEMU are you using?

Run obviously fails and I shouldn't have to attach gdb as the debug script does that. But still qemu does not run cause I do not get any output on stdout. A quick and dirty run-through of the involved commands and logic would be sufficient. Thanks in advance.
