    <p>I updated the Technote 18 (I'm assuming this is what you are
      following) to at least contain up to date information for getting
      a hello world running. It will make it's way to the homepage
      soonish, meanwhile I attached an updated PDF. </p>

              It looks like you are working from out-of-date
              documentation - we<br>
              don't use symbolic_targets.mk any more.<br>
              <br>
              The place to look is platforms/Hakefile.   Once you have
              successfully<br>
              built a Makefile using Hake, you should be able to type
              "make help" to<br>
              get a list of top-level targets.   There are targets to
              build a<br>
              complete image for a range of different platforms, and
              also some<br>
              targets to boot the image on emulators like qemu.<br>
