Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) will hold the Third Global Knowledge
Conference (GK3) on 11 to 13 December 2007, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
GK3 will mark the 10th year celebration of GKP as the leading
international multi-stakeholder network committed to harnessing the
potential of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) for
sustainable and equitable development.

GK3 will bring together over 2,000 visionaries, international leaders,
practitioners and policy-makers to engage on the theme of "Emerging
People, Emerging Markets, Emerging Technologies".

In support of GK3, the International Taskforce on Women and ICT has
developed a web-based database of gender experts within a broad range of
technical fields relating to the three GK3 theme areas. The purpose of
the database is to allow panel organizers and moderators to identify
panelists and speakers for their GK3 events. A diversity of perspectives
and voices from NGOs, academe, grassroots, governments, business, media
and international organizations will be represented as a database of
experts representing gender advocates, gender experts and women leaders
who are able to represent diverse economies, cultures, practice and
perspectives in ICT4D.

If you have expertise in any of the following gender and ICT-related
areas;

- Formal and nonformal education

- Employment and workforce issues

- ICTs for development:  including networking and communication; health;
agriculture; women's small, medium and micro enterprises; ICTs
supporting women's human rights, ICT policy etc.

go to the ITF Expert Database at http://taskforce.wigsat.org and
register yourself as an expert.

The ITF intends to continue this database as an ongoing international
resource after the GKP conference.

The site is currently hosted by WIGSAT - Women, Knowledge, Technology on
behalf of the Taskforce.
