Professor and Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) of Law with an Interdisciplinary Orientation

The Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (www.gess.ethz.ch<http://www.gess.ethz.ch>) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned positions.

The future professors will complement the research and teaching activities of the current Center for Law & Economics at ETH Zurich. They will conduct outstanding interdisciplinary research at the highest international level in one of the following areas: law & technology; law, finance & risk; law, institutions & governance; or law & behaviour. Their research methodology should lie at the intersection of law and social science (law and economics, law and political science, law and psychology, etc.) and include formal modelling, empirical or experimental research.

The educational background of the future professors is either in law or in both law and another discipline. They will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English).


Assistant professorships have been established to promote the careers of younger scientists. ETH Zurich implements a tenure track system equivalent to other international top universities.
