Tue Jan 15 14:37:57 CET 2019

Dear students,

We are currently recruiting two Ph.D. students in the field of molecular physics in the framework of the Doctoral Programme "Atoms, Light, and Molecules".

If you are inspired by research on the spectroscopy and dynamics of molecular systems and have finished your master’s degree in physics or physical chemistry with an excellent track record, you may be a candidate for these positions. Possible research projects in the laboratories of the molecular systems group headed by Prof. Roland Wester are the study of astrochemical processes of interstellar ions, precision spectroscopy of cryogenic molecular ions in the infrared and terahertz domain, or solvation effects in the reaction dynamics of ions.

The FWF-funded Doctoral Programme "Atoms, Light, and Molecules" combines the research opportunities with top level graduate training in a highly collaborative setting. All students in the Programme have the opportunity for research visits abroad for six months as part of their PhD work to build and strengthen international collaborations.

The Doctoral Programme is committed to increasing the percentage of female employees in science and therefore explicitly invites women to apply. Successful candidates will become employees of the University with full social security coverage under Austrian national law. The gross salary for these positions will be about 2.024,-- €/month (14x). Starting dates should be between March and September 2019.

For information on the research projects contact Roland Wester <roland.wester at uibk.ac.at<mailto:roland.wester at uibk.ac.at>>. Further information is found at www.uibk.ac.at/dk-alm<http://www.uibk.ac.at/dk-alm>.

We look forward to your application vial email to <dk-alm at uibk.ac.at<mailto:dk-alm at uibk.ac.at>>, including a C.V., a letter of motivation, and names of two references, before February 15, 2019.

With 28.000 students and more than 4.500 employees the University of Innsbruck represents the largest and most important institution in research and education in western Austria. Located in the heart of the Alps, the University of Innsbruck offers great conditions for successful research and teaching.
