Dear Equal! Mailing List Readers,

On behalf of Women in Machine Learning and Data Science Zurich, we would
like to invite you to our next WiMLDS meetup, which will happen online on
Tuesday 22.06, 7pm CEST. The mission of our community is to empower,
support and promote women and gender minorities who are practicing,
studying or are interested in the fields of machine learning and data
science. For this event we partnered up with Thomson Reuters Labs to talk
about careers in data science and machine learning. We think it would be
especially interesting for the people from academia who think about
transitioning to industry, or are interested to see a more
engineering-focused perspective on AI.

Our guests are 4 female professionals from TR offices in 3 countries. They
will share their journeys to give a perspective on the diversity of roles
and tasks at Thomson Reuters Labs – such as data scientist, machine
learning and software engineer, architect and innovation lead – involved in
their AI projects, and will hold an informal conversational session to
inspire and share career stories. The career panel will be followed with a
more technical discussion about the AI projects at TR. Only the second part
(technical discussion) will be recorded, and we have secured quite some
time for live Q&A with the guests, so there will be a good opportunity to
ask questions and freely exchange experiences.

I would be grateful for forwarding this information to your colleagues who
may be interested but are not members of the Equal newsletter.
