expected to teach undergraduate (German or English) and graduate level (English) courses in all relevant degrees and in particular in the MSc Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems. The selected candidate will maintain an active research programme
and contribute to the services of the Department. Furthermore, he or she will establish an attractive teaching programme with a firm commitment to excellence in education, as well as the promotion and application of modern teaching methods.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

mathematics or computer science. Relevant research areas include but are not limited to automation of transport systems, resilience of transport networks (technical break downs, natural hazards), public transport service planning and optimization, interaction
with land use, mathematical optimization of network operation (capacity, stability, robustness, energy reduction), traffic flow and its control, resource allocation in public transport systems (network capacity, rolling stock, staff, energy etc.). The Department
is particularly but not exclusively interested in individuals with experience and interest in public transport in all its current and future forms.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
