 spatial transformation with a focus on novel modelling and simulation approaches based on economic and/or social theories. Relevant research areas include, but are not limited to integrated spatial, transportation and economic development, and the development
 of innovative methods and instruments for an integrated spatial planning across scales.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 econometrics, or a similar field. An interest in the Swiss federal system with 26 cantons and over 2000 communities, which makes the coordination of spatially relevant problems extremely challenging, would be an advantage, but not a requirement. The future
 professor is expected to establish an attractive teaching programme and must be committed to excellence in education, as well as promote, execute and apply modern teaching methods. He or she will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or
 English) and graduate level courses (English) – in particular the MSc in Spatial Development and Infrastructure System. The professorship will be also responsible for the MAS/DAS/CAS programmes in spatial planning.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
