<b>Second LERU Gender Conference</b> on 14-15 June 2018.</span><span lang="EN-US"><br>

</span><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">The conference will on the one hand serve to disseminate and discuss the recently launched LERU paper "<b><i>Implicit bias in academia: a challenge to the meritocratic principle and to women's careers -
and what to do about it</i></b>" with a large audience representing various stakeholders. On the other hand it will serve to explore and illuminate the phenomenon of bias and its effects on research-performing organizations and on the people within them.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Some of Europe's leading researchers in bias will speak at the conference, which also comprises other formats such as a panel discussion and an interactive theater performance that shows how drama can drive institutional
change. Moreover, <b>conference participants have the opportunity to present their own bias projects</b>. Perhaps this would be good opportunity to present some of the gender equality activities from within your institution, and to get new impulses from other
universities? </span><br>
