experimentation and their applications, (ii) manufacturing: all related disciplines ranging from digitalisation to engineering design to additive manufacturing, advanced laser technologies and novel materials systems and (iii) digitalisation in production:
all areas including the development of “smart processes”, new algorithmic strategies such as deep learning, artificial intelligence and internet of things. In addition to the above areas, exceptional candidates in any field within the domain of mechanical
and process/chemical engineering will also be considered. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering is committed</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
to promoting interdisciplinary and cutting-edge research - covering the full range from fundamental to applied - and working to meet societal challenges. The new professors are expected to provide inspiration and leadership in research, contribute proactively
