for quantum computing and simulation, quantum communication and sensing, using solid state, atomic or photonic systems. He or she will contribute to establishing a lasting quantum technology platform at the Paul Scherrer Institute with a strong connection
to ETH Zurich, which cross-fertilizes basic science activities and technology development.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">where access to
</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">first class experimental facilities (Swiss Light Source and the Swiss Free Electron Laser as well as the high power proton accelerator HIPA with its neutron and muon beamlines)
is provided. A new state of the art cleanroom for the production of electronic and optical devices, as well as a range of quantum technology laboratories are under construction. Teaching at ETH Zurich involves contributions to the physics and/or engineering
curricula at the Bachelor (</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">German or English</span><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">) and Master’s levels (English).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
