<b>1. Februar 2024</b> eine Professur <b>«Historische und vergleichende Religionswissenschaft»</b> zu besetzen. Entsprechend der Qualifikation der zu berufenden Person wird die Professur als Ordinariat, Extraordinariat oder Assistenzprofessur mit Tenure Track
besetzt. Die künftige Stelleninhaberin bzw. der künftige Stelleninhaber beteiligt sich an Forschung, Lehre und Dienstleistungen des Religionswissenschaftlichen Seminars. Voraussetzung für eine Bewerbung sind ein abgeschlossenes Studium in Religionswissenschaft
oder einer vergleichbaren Disziplin mit einschlägigen religionswissenschaftlichen Kompetenzen und eine Promotion in Religionswissenschaft. Das Forschungsprofil soll im Bereich quellenbasierter und theoretisch informierter religionshistorischer Forschung mit
komparativen oder globalen, verflechtungsgeschichtlichen Fragestellungen liegen, an den religionswissenschaftlichen Fachdiskurs anschliessen und auch interdisziplinäre Anschlussmöglichkeiten anbieten.

<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Das Lehrdeputat beträgt, je nach Besetzung (Open Rank) 2-10 Semesterstunden. Die Fähigkeit, wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse an die gesellschaftliche Öffentlichkeit zu kommunizieren, wird erwartet.

to be appointed as of February 1, 2024. Depending on the qualifications of the person to be appointed, the professorship will be defined as a full professorship, associate professorship, or assistant professorship with tenure track. The future holder of the
position will be involved in research, teaching and the administration of the Department of Religious Studies. The prerequisites for application include a degree in Study of Religions or a comparable discipline with relevant competencies in Study of Religions
and a doctorate in Study of Religions. We are looking for someone with a research profile that includes both source-based and theoretically informed approaches in the history of religions with an emphasis on comparative-, global-, and “entangled” history,
connected to current conversations in the Study of Religions, and with demonstrable experience with interdisciplinary work.
