Specifically, she or he will establish a cutting-edge research programme in the discovery, design and/or synthesis of innovative molecules that interfere with disease mechanisms. The program may involve novel classes of molecules comprising for example, small molecules, peptides, oligoribonucleotides, protein degraders and natural products. The research will ideally provide opportunities to perform translational activities in collaboration and also show a potential for entrepreneurial spin-off. Collaborations with the pharma and/or biotech sectors are highly encouraged.
