Successful candidates hold a PhD degree in environmental engineering or geosciences, with an outstanding research portfolio that combines strengths in numerical modelling, environmental sensing, and data analysis. A strong commitment to teaching at Bachelor and Master level courses in the environmental engineering curriculum is expected. In general, at ETH Zurich undergraduate level courses are taught in German or English and graduate level courses are taught in English. Academic achievements should be complemented by a demonstrated ability to lead a research group and generate external funding.
