I think that would be opening a can-of-worms !

Previously I wanted to use DOSEMU to drive a DOS-based
hardware programmer; to make fast cycles of: write, compile,
program-chip, test; all under the same linux box.

Although others insisted that DOSEMU could be setup to drive
the parallel-port, I found it easier to just walk to a separate
DOS-box. That's one reason why unreliable [ to transfer
between different hardware] fd0 is a pain.

I'm still on the DOSEMU mailing list and observe patches
still flooding in after 11 years of development ! Apparently
wine is even worse.

The unavoidable need to process betwenn NO [& decendants],
Linux & DOS-descendants is problematic; which NO nicely/partially
solved with the text-files transformation facilities.

The ability to see simultaneously, on the same VDU, the 3:
NO-frame, Linux rendering of a *.pdf, Win? rendering of something,
  would be truely great ?

I don't believe this will happen.
