At the very least the compiler would have to retargeted to generate  
code for the Cell CPU.  This needn't be *impossible* as the primary  
core on the Cell is essentially a PowerPC and there have been oberon  
ports to PPC.  There is the small matter of taking advantage of the  
other 7 cores (SPE), which are not PPC.
