/dev/fb[0-N] which is the framebuffer of linux kernel.

Linux framebuffer is not really a fallback because X11,
which handles windowing capabilities, is on top of Linux framebuffer,
and there are very few programs that can manage an outlet for the
framebuffer
(fbi for example), and none for X11 and framebuffer.

Just switch to a linux console (Ctrl + Shift + F[N]), logins and
executes it.
