Wojciech,As of today (October 1, 2016), the last time the Oberon compiler was changed was on September 18, 2016, and the last change before that was on April 10, 2016. All this is outlined in the news.text file at
https://www.inf.ethz.ch/personal/wirth/news.txt

In that log, you'll also find a number of other changes to various parts of the Oberon system and the compiler, several of which were contributed by me over the last few months. As a general note, Experimental Oberon is always based on the last version of the Original Oberon system (and its compiler).PS: You should note that the web site http://www.projectoberon.com shows a date at the top of the page which does NOT reflect the date when the last change was made to any of the files displayed on that same page (which are mostly links to the original material at www.inf.eth.ch/personal/wirth/..). But the news.txt file mentioned above does contain the full change log with the right dates.I have updated the README.md file of Experimental Oberon to (now) point to the news.txt file instead.

Trying to poke around to find a better (more recent) Linz V4, I looked at
https://github.com/andreaspirklbauer/Oberon-experimental

There I saw the statement:

PREREQUISITES: A working Original Oberon operating system and compiler,
current as of September 18, 2016 or later (see projectoberon.com).
If you run an older version of Original Oberon or the compiler,
please upgrade to the latest version first.

So I looked at http://www.projectoberon.com/ to find some sort of a README
telling me something about the new compiler. But there is no such readme.
I wonder where Andreas is getting his news about the recent compiler upgrade??

I also looked at https://www.inf.ethz.ch/personal/wirth/ trying to find a change log.
I have not found any. I vaguely remember that Chris pointed to a log somewhere
on NW's website, but I cannot find it. Any hints?

The new compiler is not related to the crashing LinzV4. I am still puzzled why
it crashes.
