No, rather: the herd instinct prevails over excellence;
so Oberon is no where.
Competitive evolution does not necessarily give "better"
results that designed control, based on sound principles.

Eg. English language dominates, purely because of its status
at a particular stage of human economic development.
Same for the WinTel monopolists.
