In UnixAos, including LinuxAos as a particular case, any directory 
can be addressed relative to the working directory.  If your working 
directory is /home/chris/work , the root of the file system is 
/../../ .  Try some examples.

System.Directory  /../../home/chris/* ~
System.Directory  /../../tmp/* ~
