Dear All,

How is OP2 better than Wirth's (simple four module) compiler?

If we look at http://www.ethoberon.ethz.ch/compiler/index.html#report,
in "Compiler deployment in the maintained ports" section,
we find that OP2 is present in almost all ports of Oberon.
May be Wirth's compiler only got used in his Ceres system and FPGA system.

So why OP2 was always chosen in all Oberon ports
where as Wirth always used his simple four module version?

With thanks and best regards,

Yours sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak
