process and nobody at ETH has made a deliberate decision to remove
the website.</div>

according to our support group it has been reinstated this morning
08:00h. You might need to refresh your browser cache.<br>

long term, or if and how there will be a long-term replacement in
some form, will be decided by the computer science department of
ETH together with the family of Prof. Wirth. I listen to this

to the responsible people where I can.<br>

personal copy it seems strange that ETHZ are removing this
evidence of Professor Wirth's work. In their place I'd want to
celebrate it!</div>

Worth (the only Oberon day I attended he did not!), but buying
a copy of Algorithms + Data Structures = Programs in the 80s
was one of the most important purchases in my computing

Unfortunately, Prof. Dr. Dr. hc mult Niklaus Wirth passed away

beginning of the year. His honorable work leaves behind

insights and results in the field of programming languages

operating systems. This is particularly relevant with regard

digitization (see also ETH's strategy on digitization and
excellence).<br>
As interested international members of the Oberon List, we
therefore<br>
request that at least the website on Prof. Wirth's findings be<br>
maintained (a webinar series on the topic would also be nice).<br>
