[Barrelfish-users] Test programs that use a lot of message-passing

Hi,

I'm looking for test programs that use message-passing between cores.

This is to help evaluate some work here on accelerating UMP via new hardware features.

The new features are transparent from the point of view of the application. The new features are implemented both in the M5 simulator (for more detailed perf evaluation of micro-benchmarks), and also modelled in software for unmodified cache coherent x86-64 (for evaluation of coarser scale interactions, e.g. wrt interaction between thread scheduling and message passing).
So far I've been using (i) Ross's 2PC benchmark, and (ii) simply booting on a multi-processor machine. It would be nice to include more examples - any suggestions?

Cheers,

Tim
