Professor of Genome Biology

The Department of Biology (www.biol.ethz.ch<https://www.biol.ethz.ch/>) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned position. The successful applicant will lead a world class programme in the field of genome biology, including but not limited to the analysis of functional relationships between genomic variability and complex disease phenotypes in humans and mouse model systems by applying modern and innovative mouse genomic, computational and phenotyping technologies as well as high-throughput techniques in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology. The investigations should aim to decipher molecular disease mechanisms and advance our fundamental knowledge in areas such as cancer, stem cell biology, metabolism and inflammation.

The new professor will engage and contribute to teaching of this key aspect of life/health sciences in 'Biology', 'Health Sciences and Technology' and the new 'Medicine BSc' curricula. Undergraduate level courses are taught in German or English and graduate level courses in English. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research, and should embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
