  *   Faculty: Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology
  *   Start: summer semester 2022 or later
  *   Part of the Hightech Agenda Bavaria to strengthen activities in the field of additive manufacturing and lightweight construction.
  *   You have professional experience and scientific expertise in the fields of automation and the process chain of additive manufacturing. You have in-depth competencies in one or more of the following areas:


     *   Robotics,
     *   Handling technology,
     *   Networked manufacturing,
     *   Image processing,
     *   Artificial Intelligence Methods.

Your tasks
You represent your subject in bachelor's and master's degrees in teaching and applied research. You will also take part in the development of the planned master's course "Additive Manufacturing and Lightweight Design" and the other courses on offer. The willingness to take on basic subjects (also in English) as part of the degree programs of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology is required. In addition, tasks in the self-administration of the university are to be performed.
A special opportunity for your future research and transfer activities is the close cooperation with the research and application center for digital future technologies in Lichtenfels and regional partners. You will be supported in this by the Research Transfer Center.

Your qualifications

  *   Expertise in the electrical and thermal energy management of electrically powered vehicles.
  *   Experience in the energetic optimization of networked vehicle systems, their operating strategy and components are expected.
  *   Additional skills in the areas of networked communication and infrastructure systems, artificial intelligence and the implementation of research and teaching projects are desirable.
Your tasks

  *   Acquisition and design of research projects as well as the conception and implementation of corresponding courses at Bachelor and Master level.
  *   In addition, subject-related courses in the basic and advanced areas are to be taken over.
  *   Participation in the further development of courses in the context of the research focus of the University of Coburg is expected. T
