With a HTTP server you aren't expected to get a directory listing normally.

OK.  The Anarchie application for the Mac appears 
to be getting a directory listing via http but really
it is just sifting the addresses out of index.html.
Anarchie does not list files which are not linked in 
index.html.

So WebDAV really does subsume ftp!
