and parts are semi-functional what basis is there for pushing
forward into BlueBottle?

If BB is built using Native Oberon `parts' the foundation is shakey
IMO.  Newer faster hardware won't hide the lack of completeness nor
will it overcome the need to document and instruct in the use of
Oberon.
