Here it's impossible to find out the specs or capability of computer
products, except that they 'are for this weeks flavour of WINxyz'. 

It must be nice to have the smooth, reliable cursor movement of
an optical mouse for N-O; provided the rest still works as previously.

Do any N-O users drive a [3 button] optical mouse successfully ?
