There was some discussion within the last few weeks
about updating Native Oberon and/or collaboratively
maintaining NO.

We have already an empty platform for doing so.

Around three years ago, Pieter Muller has put up a
sourceforge project for Native Oberon. He has filled
it with a rudimentary home page and - more important -
a tiny CVS client for NO, i.e. some utility to
"encode" the NO binary format into a readable ASCII
representation and upload files to CVS.

see: https://lists.inf.ethz.ch/pipermail/oberon/2003/003328.html
and follow ups.

The project is here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/nativeoberon

The project's home page:
http://nativeoberon.sourceforge.net/

and the latest (encoded) CvsClient is here:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/nativeoberon/system/CvsClient.Mod.cvs?r
ev=1.2&view=markup

According to the changelog (http://www.oberon.ethz.ch/native/WebAlpha.html),
CvsClient.Mod should be in the latest alpha release (05.01.2003)
but I could not find it.

Maybe we should try to proceed, if Pieter
can authorize some others with admin rights.

Who is willing to coordinate?

regards
