This memory use economy achievement is staggering.
Goodbye Wintel abusive monopolists.
What's the approximate power consumption?
For a 5V supply, is the RS232 still in-spec?
USB is a monster, and as such would ruin the simplicity, but it's difficult
to ignore. Yes ps2 is ample. I've never looked into its specs, but assume
its much simpler than USB.
Regarding Peter Easthope's query: my current PC uses a ps2 mouse,
and when I connect a USB-mouse also, I get 2 independent controls.
Perhaps such cleverness cost excessive complexity.
Like USB, SD-cards are marvelously cost effective, and perhaps
less complex to interface than USB?
