[Oberon] MIPS as an alternative?

If people are stressing SoC/small-SIZE, why is no one mentioning power
consumption.
Small-size implies portability; implies battery powered; implies
charging inconvenience.
A major factor drawing me towards the ARM, was the hope to escape the
WinTel CPU,
which need to wear a massive <airconditioner>.
How many users actually need the 100-times increased CPU through-put..
... to save 10 milli-seconds a session?
