Is long-term/universal theory for booting available?
Or is it always just another specialist device-driver [blacbox]?

I've got a card-reader which is connected via USB, and which takes
various cards, including SD & CF, which have different pin-counts.

Did ETHO ever master USB? It's very complex; but a must-have technology.
That's why I switched to LEO; plus a compulsary pdf-viewer.
That way linux can do the heavy-lifting and LEO still provides the superior
interface, of ETHO.

rPi which has sold millions, has it's SD's boot partition
<Labelled MicrosoftDOS>. Has Microsoft got a stranglehold on CPU booting?
