Agree. SRAM is important. HDMI could be optional if we are able to take a
cheaper FPGA (because of reduced speed requirements --> VGA: 75 MHz, HDMI:
750 MHz)

Some free pins, being able to add Ethernet later on, e.g. the WIZnet
WIZ550io (W5500)

Subject: [Oberon] Oberon-specific Spartan-6 FPGA board

Magnus Karlsson (the guy from Saanlima electronics who designed the
Pipistrello + Oberon Wing (2MB of SRAM) Spartan-6 Oberon developmnt board)
is asking for feedback on a proposed Oberon-specific Spartan-6 FPGA board as
follows:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oberon-specific FPGA board:

The Pipistrello is way overkill for this, it would be much cheaper to make a
new board with all the features needed but not more. This would be
straight-forward to do but it would be nice to have a list of things on this
board and not just copy the featues of the Digilent Spartan-3 board.

I was thinking the following connectors on the back: KBD, Mouse, HDMI, VGA,
USB, Power
And the following on the front: Power on/off switch, power LED, full-size SD
card, 8 LED, 8 dip-switches.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have any suggestions you can reply to his message on the Saanlima
forum:

Chris
