I have found C++ to have a bad reputation in the media, not as good.. it
is known as large, complex, obscure, terse, bloated...

Thanks for the interesting new word I learned today though, mediagenic.

Ruby certainly is a fanboy/mediagenic language that has a good reputation,
although that's changing now that people are learning how complex,
obscure, and bloated the language is.

Agree, or a third language...

The good thing about oberon is it's so small you don't have to learn a
subset of it. I will never learn c++ only a small subset of it. In fact I
only know a subset of plain C and not all of it.
