Concerning the license, my suspicion is that nobody at ETHZ really cares. They do not want to see the name of their institution in some sort of marketing campaigns, that's all. On the other hand, they want to see their contribution acknowledged, which is fair. I am not sure if we need to split the hair beyond this basic understanding.
