Interesting, but wasn't there also work on a native
blackbox/componentpascal for linux that you could compile and use without
any wine at all?

I remember a project on source forge.

I think there was even a linux component pascal compiler.

Not sure if freepascal was used in any of it, but one of the projects I
checked into somehow involved freepascal too, as part of how they got it
working or bootstrapped.
