Hi Joerg,

This is what I have thought too. 

Actually, "openWritingPipe" on its
own, just shuts pipe-0 for reading and sets 32 bits paylod, leaving
pipe-1 enabled with setting ZERO payload.
EN_RXADDR	 = 0x02
RX_PW_P0-6	 = 0x20 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00

Compare to reset defaults.
EN_RXADDR	 = 0x03
RX_PW_P0-6	 = 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
Pipe-0,1 enabled, with zero payloads.
