Hi,
In his technical report “Experiments in Computer System Design”, Wirth mentions Chuck Thacker’s Simple-32 architecture (commenting that” appeared as not optimally suited for use with a high-level programming language, at least not without a compiler optimizing register usage”).
There is a standard document where that architecture is described: “ https://github.com/cambridgehackers/contrib_tiny3/blob/master/Thacker-A_Tiny_Computer-3.pdf ”
(and I found another interesting description of the architecture here: http://piumarta.com/pov/points-of-view.pdf at page 123).
Now, I was wondering if there are (other) comparisons anywhere between Project Oberon and this architecture?
