system, load balancing systems, ...?

How about external interrupts, on some processors, these could be
filtered through a mask?

I am thinking of external sensors, probes connected to the board,
requesting their attention through an interrupt.

We can also use NRF - WiFi module, provided sensors are hooked to
a WiFi bus, too. 

Just ideas, ... what are your experience / recommendation with real time
systems?
