Is keeping a machine unpowered really the best way to preserve it? 
Those machines were hand soldered through-hole technology?  So 
replacement of components isn't difficult.  Most of the components 
remain available and the CHM must have some volunteers with superb 
hardware troubleshooting skills.  If a machine runs occasionally, you 
know it still works, until it doesn't.  =8~)
