Oberon has been getting a fair amount of attention on HackerNews in the
last couple of years.
The most recent posts are:
https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=oberon&sort=byDate&type=story

The people on HackerNews also refer to Oberon quite often in discussions:
https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=oberon&sort=byDate&type=comment
You'll see a recurrence of usernames who are Oberon fans (including me).

On lobste.rs Oberon gets discussed once in a while:
https://lobste.rs/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=oberon&what=comments&order=newest

On Twitter not so much (although it is hard to define a useful search
query): https://twitter.com/search?q=%23projectoberon&src=typed_query

There is a reasonable amount of activity in the Oberon language on Github:
https://github.com/search?l=Modula-2&o=desc&q=oberon&s=indexed&type=Code
(it gets reconized as Modula-2 by Github though)

In Google over the past year:
https://www.google.com/search?q=oberon+AND+programming+-theater+-game+-%22oberonit%22&tbs=qdr:y

All in all I think there is a surprising amount of interest about Oberon on
HackerNews.
