Thanks, this was really bothering me until I read your clear explanation 
- what threw me was the comments about IRETD and RET, but I now see that 
probably, in the mind's eye of the programmer, he or she was thinking 
about what *would* happen when the routine ended, whereas I was 
wondering about how stuff on the stack might be the result of an 
IRETD... ;-)
