Looks promising.
The academic paper citations are confusing, IMHO. I would suggest
moving them to a ==Reference== section at the bottom (if this is
possible on Wikibooks -- I do not know it at all, only Wikipedia).
Then they'd be reduced to just reference numbers, and at the bottom,
you could have:
[1] Wir88a -- Niklaus Wirth -- "From Modula to Oberon". _Software:

(or whatever!)
