The name both in V4 and in BlackBox is "folds".

It might have been the other way around. I am not sure which one was invented first.

The history might have been similar to Linux kernel, which is now built around the idea of modules loaded and unloaded at run time. Within the Linux kernel, multitasking is cooperative and there is no hardware memory protection. Sounds familiar? I read a book on Linux kernel programming. I have not found a reference to the Oberon System architecture. It was missing. Perhaps unintentionally.

I also vaguely remember that Java was inspired by System 3 and there were references to it in the very early Java publications. But later they disappeared. Perhaps unintentionally.
