Yes, Trace.String appears elsewhere in Unix.Machine.Mod. I should have 
noticed that Trace is imported and then searched to see it used.  =8~/

Adding Trace.String("...") at the beginning of the body of 
Unix.Machine.Mod doesn't produce output in KernelLog.  The output 
might be elsewhere. I'll hunt.  =8~)

Didn't succeed to recompile with that added.
