Professor in Environmental Organic Chemistry

The Department of Environmental Sciences (www.env.ethz.ch/index_EN) at ETH Zurich invites applications for a professor position in Environmental Organic Chemistry. The new professor is expected to develop an internationally recognized research program in the field of organic environmental chemistry, with an emphasis on the behavior and fate of organic pollutants in the environment (soils, water, and atmosphere). Research may be focused on persistent organic pollutants, pesticides, on other newly emerging organic micropollutants such as hormones and antibiotics or on biomarkers. 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English) in the field of environmental organic chemistry and the analysis of organic pollutants. Collaboration in research and teaching is expected within the Institute of Biogeochemistry and Pollutant Dynamics and with other groups of the ETH domain and related institutions.
