The Faculty of Theology of the University of Basel invites applications for a position of
Professor for Practical Theology

to be filled from the 1st of August 2016. The position will be part-time or full-time (50-100%) depending on the successful candidate.

Applicants will be expected to have a proven track record in teaching and research in this discipline. We are looking particularly for candidates with a research area in one or more of the following realms (a) intercultural theology; b) religion, church, and society; c) religious communication.

This is an open-rank appointment. Depending upon the qualifications and previous experience of the successful candidate, the position will be appointed at the level of a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or full Professor.
