Considering the two topics, I'd find the first more interesting. A
family tree, including chronology, in Wikimedia Commons would be
helpful to students.

Existing documents about boot managers seem adequate; to me at least.
A hypothetical potential improvement would be a merger of the pages
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Oberon/ETH_Oberon/bootman
and
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Oberon/BootManager .

The argument in favor of a merger is that a single comprehensive
document is more useful to a novice than two documents addressing
roughly the same topic.

The argument against a merger is that it de-emphasizes the original
author. Also writing requires effort.

A way to respect both positions is to keep the earlier documents and
write a new document integrating older information and adding
more recent information. At present I can't tackle that.

Regards, ... L.
