[Barrelfish-users] GHC 8.x support?

Hi Simon,

Please try the attached patch.

It seems to work in 8.0.2 (Ubuntu 17.10). We will integrate a cleaned up 
version of this patch into mainline on the switch to 18.04 LTS.
