Hi Ben
We don't support Ubuntu 17.10. Please use Ubuntu 16.04 (LTS). You were
able to compile and execute Barrelfish before right? It's best not to
change the build environment once it works :-) It's hard to support
multiple GHC versions (the error you're seeing is from the compiling the
hake utility, which is written in Haskell), therefore we always target
the latest version that ships with Ubuntu LTS.
